“Autumn in Europe has always been an especially inspiring season for me. Nature slows its movements and gently enters a period of rest, inviting us into moments of contemplation, leisure, and reflection. The landscape is painted in shades of red, orange, and brown, while the crisp air carries a mix of deepened woody notes and subtle spice. It is a season that feels as if time itself has paused—a perfect moment for reading by the fireplace of a cabin. This distinctive seasonal mood was exactly what I wanted to capture in Long Autumn.”

What began at Fritz Hansen’s 150th anniversary exhibition has now grown into a new collaboration. Sharing an ethos of unique aesthetics and respect for craftsmanship, NONFICTION and Fritz Hansen open a new, fragrant chapter together.
“Though Fritz Hansen and NONFICTION were born in different countries and shaped by different histories, we share uncompromising quality, a deep pursuit of beauty, and respect for artisanship. That’s why this collaboration was especially moving and exciting for me. I wanted to express in fragrance the material most central to Fritz Hansen’s 150-year journey since it started as a workshop—wood, a symbol of its craft. Interpreting the patina that forms naturally over time, and adding perfumer Domitille Michalon’s inspiration, we created Long Autumn. This fragrance demands reflection, it is to be savored in a season when time seems to slow. I hope many will experience its beauty.”

Through this collaboration with NONFICTION, we wanted to present fragrance and furniture as mediums that both preserve memory.”
